Right you are, Gary. I missed that little item in the corner of the page. I'm glad to see they are available new, although I prefer my jewelled lights anyway. I've seen a lot of cars with the arrow pointing in all kinds of directions.

SC Parts sells them. #317574 is both parts. #25772 is just the "arrow" part.

Tom, I believe the chrome piece covering the "arrow" just pries off. I used to have a box full of BJ8 turn signal indicators that I tried to rescue from a junkyard since my indicators had already been replaced with jeweled lenses when I bought the car. As far as I know, the indicators are still not available new -- at least they are not offered in the catalogs of Moss, AHead4Healeys, SC Parts, or Victoria British. I was never successful in unscrewing any indicator assembly from the dash because age had made the plastic so brittle and all of them broke. It's peculiar that an item so vulnerable to the effects of aging isn't being reproduced.

I'm trying to remove the turn signal indicator lamps from the wood dash. From what I've been able to figure out, it seems like the small chrome piece on the front side screws off, but it's stuck and I don't want to break anything.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

- Tom
