Well, just to vary the pace a bit...............I have a 123 distributor in my car and carry a Lucas distributor fitted with Pertronix in the boot.

I keep a spare Pertronix (in my cars) and have replaced one once.  I burned it out, it did not fail
  Oh, and it took about 6 minutes to replace
