The best way to find out where the oil is coming from is buy a UV light and oil additive.  You will see the leak very quickly.

I can't imagine that doing an oil change could be the cause of a sudden increase in leakage from the rear main however, I have had the same issue when the vent pipe to the rear air filter was dislodged and bent over blocking all air flow.

Might be worth checking that the crankcase venting is working.

changed oil in a club member's tri carb.   went to get gas and noticed lots of oil under car.  by the time i got back had lost about 4 qts or more of oil on a few mile drive.  coming from rear of engine and coming out bottom joint and cotter pin hole. was only a small drip before oil change.  assume it is coming from rear main, but could it fail that fast?   any other places to look?
