They are, when installed, on the engine side with the rivet going through the first lip of the buffer only and the legs of the rivet being covered by the second lip.

A riveting question.
I assume that everyone is familiar with the rubber buffers that are affixed with copper rivets and flat washers to the front shroud openings on all Big Healeys.
The big and riveting question is that once installed, are the rivet heads on the engine side of the buffer, or on the other side facing the outside of the car.
