Figured you could—and I’ve thought of something along the lines of what AH Spares now sells.

Robert. You can easily make your own long-handled tightening until. If you need direction, give a call.

Call me silly, but I rather like the slightly flattened side on a knock-off that has been tightened with the factory-supplied brass hammer. It adds to the patina and, in my opinion, is part of the car’s journey. I too tighten my wheels when off the ground and have never had one come loose. Subject: Re: [Healeys] Healeys Tires/wheels lose I've always tightened the knockoffs with the vehicle raised, then, after lowering it, given it a final few whacks with the wheels on the ground. Never had one loosen yet! Will also be looking into a neat new long-handled alloy knockoff-tightening/loosening tool offered by AH Spares where the alloy business end is shaped to slip over the knockoff. I imagine the long handle will provide the needed leverage entirely missing from those flimsy two-handled wooden tools, which I've found worthless. The knockoffs are designed to tighten while driving. But experience has taught me that they can loosen if not seated to begin with, and they might not be seated if tightened with the weight on the hub. My theory is that weight on the wheel makes the knockoff off-center when tightened.
Here is the AI-generated response to the question: “Should knockoffs be tightened with the weight on, or off, the wheel?
“Knock-off hubs should be tightened with the weight off the vehicle. This ensures proper torque and prevents the wheel from being unevenly seated. While on the ground, the wheel is subjected to weight distribution, and the knock-off might not seat as snugly when tightened under load.”

Interesting. The knock-off on my BT7 tighten while the car is driving. Below is an A.I. generated answer to the question “do knock-offs tighten while driving”:
Yes, knock-offs are designed to be self-tightening while driving, meaning they can become tighter as the vehicle moves forward. However, if they are not installed correctly or if the vehicle is towed in reverse, they can loosen instead.

Just a warning to all. As you may imagine, sometimes our wheels may ? loosen. Had my BJ8 on the lift today, checking brakes. Jiggled the wheels, just because. Rear left had “significant" lateral movement. Took the old rubber mallet and had to tighten almost 1/4 turn. Very scary. Please check your wheels whenever your car is on a lift. Happy rides.
