[Healeys] Lucas Reflectors

Michael,

I have owned no less than four [4] of the RER5 reflectors for BN1/2s, two
in red and two in orange, ALL NOS in box* [RER 5, 57-052]*.

My BN1 [b7197 11 Jan. '55] came with orange reflectors and it now has an
NOS pair installed. Many of the low mile BN1s [cars with <20K miles] within
200 body numbers either side of my car had orange reflectors.

Both the red and the orange reflectors faded severely with time. See the
photo of my restored faded reflectors. All of the NOS reflectors I've owned
came with a slotted, oval head, sheet metal screw which I changed out to a
proper 10-32 pan head, Phillips screw for mounting on the pods.

Reflectors were introduced on BN1s at... *Body no. 6128 (c221310) Sep ‘54 -
Rear reflectors on pods fitted (NY Auto Show Car).*

Richard Gordon's  very original. [10K orig mile] Concours Gold BN1 built 18
Feb. '55 came with one red and one orange reflector.
