[Healeys] water pump

Healeyphiles,    I discover now that the water pump of my Bj8 has, after 145k miles, developed a leak. Other than removing fan and radiator, does the grill have to be removed to access the pump for removal. I pray all can be done with the engine in the car. Thanks for your thoughts and suggestions.......rich antal
