[Healeys] water pump

Hi Richard, the radiator has to be removed, which isn't that difficult, to change the pump. I find it easier to remove the fan before removing the rad but that isn't essential.
A couple of blog posts which may be of interest.

Subject: [Healeys] water pump

Healeyphiles,
I discover now that the water pump of my Bj8 has, after 145k miles, developed a leak. Other than removing fan and radiator, does the grill have to be removed to access the pump for removal. I pray all can be done with the engine in the car. Thanks for your thoughts and suggestions.......rich antal
