[Healeys] Noise on engaging clutch

Your email is a little confusing - a couple quick questions:

1) Does the clutch make the noise while your foot is on the clutch?  While
your foot is on the clutch does it do it if the car is in gear?, or not in
gear, or both?
2) are there some pinging or slapping noises one you have full let the
clutch out, or does it only make noise when your are shifting?
