Have whoever is holding the car right now have someone there appraise it and fax
back a copy to SGI or whoever you are going to get the policy through. This will
help insure its value during your trip home. Or just do the basic plates before
you leave and have it appraised when you get home. If you are a gambler it is
very unlikely that you will have an incident on the trip back.

On a side note how much has the car been used, especially in the recent past? If
it's been sitting for some time you may want to have it checked out or have
someone there take it out for a couple of hours to make sure you don't have any
surprises when you hit the road. Or have it shipped back. Darren, feel free to
chime in here.
