Hi Tony ... good to hear from you.
The Tour is scheduled to go through Indianapolis, but as of yet we have had
no-one from the Midwestern US stand up and offer to SC that area. We're
working towards it, and hopefully we'll have someone in place fairly soon.
A link to the chat page on the website is a GREAT idea ... I'll do something
on that hopefully this weekend (before Grey Cup of course).
Has Barry LaPoint Been in touch with you as of yet? Barry is the Sector
Coordinator in your area, and is the head Poo-bah when it comes to
organizing the Tour in your area. Sounds like you have a bunch of great
ideas, and and sure Barry can use he organizational help. I'll send you his
phone number off-line, and perhaps you can give him a call.

1.. I am originally from Indianapolis and I had planned to pick my son up
in Calgary and continue on with the tour until we reached Indy, which would
be our jump-off point. The map shows the tour going to Indy, yet there has
not been a mention of said segment. Will there be one?
2.. I was getting down on paper some ideas on how to promote the tour
locally.
1.. The local radio DJ is my neighbor. Maybe some air time?
2.. Get a listing of all of the Jaguar/British car owners located in the
Okanagan/Shuswap area.
3.. Promote the tour through the Rotary clubs in the surrounding
communities.
4.. Promote the tour to local service stations; maybe getting a discount
of several cents on fuel. Trust me, when the American drivers see the fuel
prices here they will have heart failure and then go into cardiac arrest.
Fuel for 93 octane is around $.97 a litter, or about $3.59 a gallon Canadian
or $2.52 US. Bring your VISA/MasterCard/AMEX card.
5.. Promote the tour to local hotels and motels.
6.. Promote the tour to local KOA and other campground sites.
7.. Promote the tour to local homeowners willing to take tourist in.
This is big thing up here and as an American bearing witness; they really
open their doors to people for overnight stays.
3.. Is there a way the chat link can be put on the home or login page? I
usually work at night and during some free time try to find the link. The
problem is my directions are on my home office system. If I am having this
problem, maybe there are others as well?
4.. I have not heard from anyone locally, so I am flying blind here as to
how I should begin to coordinate my activities with others.
Anyway, any feedback on the above would be greatly appreciated.
