Our special rates for the Doubletree hotel in Monterey 
expires tomorrow, April 9.  And the regular rates are 
significantly higher.  So if you have any inkling you might
go, reserve now -- you can cancel up to some time before
(maybe 48 hours?)  

Also, I got a note that by the time we arrive, the name 
will be changed to Portola Plaza Hotel at Monterey Bay,
same hotel, same staff -- but look carefully!
