With regard to E-types (including my own), you could put a plate type on the
dash inside the car, or attach it just above/below the existing
state/province plate.

Coincidently, those that get Jaguar World Monthly, look at the article on
page 106 of the January issue. It shows both the big round decals on some
pretty pricy pieces of tin (or aluminium), as well as a shot with an e-type
with a spiffy plate. Also look at the ad on page 36

Hi Bob,

The 16" roundel is just what I was thinking of. We have a couple in our
shop and they can be rolled up and stuck in a mailing tube for individual
shipments, or stacked up flat for bulk shipments.

I don't know about cost, but I think the magnetic signs are probably more
expensive than a stick-on decal. I don't mind putting the stick-on decals
on our cars for a short period of time. With a good coat of wax underneath,
they peel off pretty easily with no damage to the paint.

As far as the license plates go, I don't really have a place for one on the
front of my E-type. Don't like the looks of a front plate on the pretty
nose!

  Jeff

The problem with the larger decal (is it a decal or a magnetic sign?) is
transportation. If we need to move these all over the continent to get them
to the registrants, the packaging might be quite large (i.e. expensive).
Having said that, I've added a 16" sign to page 2 of the pdf file.

  Hi All,

If we have a license plate, I prefer "Spiffy #2. But, I was thinking some
sort of adhesive decal for both doors, something like they use for the
Colorado Grand or Copperstate 1000. See attached picture. This type of
identification stands out and really let's people know these cars are on a
tour.

We had a MG club from Ohio do a 5 day tour and stopped at our Museum last
summer. They had decals on each car. See attached picture.

As far as entry fee goes, I don't mind paying $20 or even higher, to get a
goody bag along with the signage that identifies the car is part of this
tour.

Fazal and I (well Fazal really) thought that we should canvas the
participants regarding the type of Tour identification badges you would like
to see. Take a look at
    http://jonat.org/bob/grillebadge1.pdf
and let us know your preference (there is no link to it on the website).
The SC's, ASC's, and EC have discussed this ad nausium (although this is the
first screening of samples), and I think its time to let everyone in on the
action. SC's and ASC's feel free to chime in too.

We'll tally the results at the end of the week(and likely ignore them,
but what the hey), then follow up with costing etc.
