Re: [JONAT] Houston Sector - bypassing DallasTrey

I think we can count on stragglers, as it is unlikely everyone will follow
in parade fashion. I would think (and comments welcomed here) that any
planned event should allow for cars to straggle in over an hour or so by the
end of the day. Even at lunches, this may occur, and I'm thinking we will
see the last cars arrive at the lunch stop as the first cars are leaving. I
think flexibility is the key, but also we cannot hold up events for the
slowest guy on the tour.

All good responses, dear “not so powers that be.” ;)

I imagine there will be some local involvement and I plan to appear on the
most watched morning news show (that gets repeated throughout the day) to
promote local involvement. I was just looking for numbers to offer the
hotel owner but I sort of have the picture.

My one concern is how densely packed the cars will be. If the can arrive
en-masse, which I could arrange by finding a local tour or something--
giving stragglers time to catch up—I may be able to arrange for participants
to parade through the French Quarter down Royal St (not usually opened to
vehicles). This would be very scenic and a great news/photo op for
everyone. The local Ferrari club pulled it off so I don’t see why I/we can’
t either. The key here is that we may have less than a hour window to do
this.
