[JONAT] dates

Would that be the world-famous pie-billed grebe?

I'm not going to be much help adding an extra day because we are tagging
along with the Route 66 Fun Run which is 4/30-5/2. We overnight 5/2 in Lake
Havasu City, and after you've been there a day, there isn't much else to
see. I know Ron Rader has Cinco de Mayo planned in LA. Ron, didn't you
mention you could use another day. Jerry in San Francisco can use another.

I don't know what's planned for the route north to Oregon, but there is some
beautiful scenery I've only seen in pictures up that way. I'm sure the route
could be made sufficiently circuitous to absorb another day.

	Hi all:

Maybe I am a little premature but I had spoken to Bob and stated
that I have contacts with several houseboat company’s in Sicamous/Salmon Arm
in which members of the tour could lease houseboats for day cruses for 10,
20, and even 30 persons. This is a bit inland, but maybe that can gap
filler? Also if you look at the webpage I have setup, this is also during
the Grebe Festival time in Salmon Arm.

A little help here, fellows. The schedule as presented has people
arriving in Victoria (from Port Angeles) on Monday, May 17. The next fixed
date is Friday, May 21 when the tour should be in Vancouver in preparation
for the Van Dusen All British show on the 22nd. The show organisers will be
setting aside an extra 25 places for Jaguars from our tour; the cars have to
be in place on the field by around 9:30 in the morning, and may not leave
until 4 PM. This is a show not to be missed, if you like British cars.

I am concerned now about the 4 to 5 days allotted for the
Victoria segment. The original schedule allows for a trip to Whistler in
this period, but the beautiful Sea to Sky highway from North Vancouver to
Whistler will be under construction in preparation for the winter Olympics
to be held in Whistler. I doubt that many will want to take their Jaguars
over gravel, and at this point it is unclear how much of the highway will be
disrupted.

We can certainly absorb a couple of days on Vancouver Island
(much to see), but we do not need 4 days. If previous sectors could absorb a
day or two, that would be good, and obviously we need to know this now. I
think Mark Stephenson said he could use an extra day. Could I have response
to this to aid our planning?

Looks like I have dropped off the face of the Earth, but no I am
still here and involved. I had a call from Tony Parran who lives in Vernon
and wondering what happened to me. The bottom line is that we moved but are
till alive. I have chnaged my information on the "Tour" site but pehaps it
did not stick. I can be reached at bpointe@telus.net. My new phone number is
(250) 547-8792.

I will go back into the Tour site and check to see what my profile
shows. If any of you have further information on the Tour that I have missed
please forward it to me. Thanks
