Prices are generally higher in California than many other US
places.  Note that the other places I recommend for SLO
are as cheap as $89.00, and are all within walking distance
of Quality Suites -- and I can find some a few doillars cheaper,
but not much.  You'll see that this is not your super-deluxe
5-star hotel -- this is what you can get in this town.
The cheapest that AAA recommends is Super 8 Motel,
$49 - $145, also a short walk from Quality suites.

better.   You may cancel at Quality and reserve at Super 8.

Another idea is -- double up!  I am sharing a room with
Ray Livingston in SLO, which brings my cost down
to $75...  Hope he doesn't snore!

This was my point all along about tour fees -- the $$$ is
not going to be the tour fees, no matter how high we had
decided to make them.
