[JONAT] I am Jonat!

Hi Alan

Yes, I have to apologize for myself not making it to Winnipeg ... the
computer fry basically put all such thoughts on hold (still not 100% yet)
... and yes you should have come to Regina as you had originally planned as
you missed a great time.

I think Ian can give you some good pointers on getting publicity and local
enthusiasm going. He did a great job here.

Bob

Publicity or organization wouldn't have helped getting any Regina people to
join the Winnipeg sector. Why didn't one of those 30 people take the trip
east? Its the weekend. There is a great event planned. I realize some of
you
just travelled all the way from Vancouver. I was expecting at least a
couple of
cars coming to Winnipeg from the west according to the web site attendance
list.
Your local newspaper mentioned the planning for this trip has been going on
for 10 months. Well, I've been working on it for over 15, and I know Bob
and
Jamie and others have been at it longer than that. Posters, mailings,
presentations, interviews with the press - what more can we do? And you
can't form a good organization with only two volunteers.
Not pessimistic - realistic.
And yes, I know. I could have taken the trip west to join the tour there.
In
hindsight, it would have been a good idea.
Alan
