Great ideas Mark - another blast on the JL mailing lists would be very good
time with the caveats you suggest.

Then to start, everyone take look at the summary webpage created for your
Sector, check links and names , as well as your own webpage (i.e.Detialed
Information). If everything checks out, let everyone know by sending an
e-mail with "<sector name> is ready" as the subject.

A couple of housekeeping notes:

  - Mark (Houston) and Robert (Denver) - I have not yet got confirmation
whether you guys will bridge and split the SC-less Sector between you.

  - Brad (Washington) and Greg (Georgia) - I have not yet got confirmation
whether you guys will bridge and split the SC-less Carolina Sector between
you.

Paul,

As a J-L admin, I know the discussion was that this was appropriate on the
Pub, but since it wasn't model specific it wasn't appropriate on the lists.
Personally, I don't think anyone will complain if we limit ourselves to a
single post to each list. Mike Eck did that for the Jag-Lovers Picnic in NJ
in June. Just don't cross post, i.e. use more than one list in the To: line.
Cross posting is a pain for admins because people will blindly reply to all
and send e-mails to lists to which they are not $ubscribed. The e-mails then
bounce to the admins who have to handle them. We have to send each message
individually.

Because we have one shot at it, we should make sure everything on the site
ready to go. If people check us out and and can't register or pay or the
information isn't ready on the sector sites, we won't have a chance to
remind them without incurring the ire of the admins. We only have three
weeks before this gets underway, so we have to have all the sector pages up
and running ASAP.

We should probably have everyone check their sector page to make sure
everything is right and get a show of virtual hands, of everyone who is
ready to roll. The best way to do something like this send an e-mail with
"<sector name> is ready" as the subject line. That way Bob or whoever is
counting can quickly tally. I'd be willing to keep track if Bob gives us the
go-ahead.

   Bob, Fazal,

I haven't seen anything about JONAT mentioned on any of the Jag-Lovers
email lists for a while. As a member of the Jag-Lovers "E-Type", "XJ" and
"XK-Engine" lists, I suggest that JONAT would be of general interest to
those and possibly other Jag-Lovers lists. Perhaps this is a way to help
get information on JONAT out to a wider audience and generate additional
registrations.

I am willing to send emails to the E-Type, XJ and XK-Engine lists if
you feel this is appropriate. The email would provide excerpts from the
press announcements and a like to the JONAT website. I'm not aware of any
restrictions preventing this. Please let me know what you think.
