[Kcup] Notes from Meeting 1/28

i was looking at tapping into my 401k to get there with 50 entries in the hopper. track time and cost is less relevant if there are 40 TRIUMPHS on the track...at least to me.

Kas suggests another poll of entrants after announcement....15-25 entries for the Kastner Cup, his namesake event, does not give him a warm and fuzzy feeling.   

The mid-week schedule is actually a benefit to some of the long tow guys.  

(I understand the entry fee for this event was $450 last year....$650 is beginning to look like an ill fated cure for the dreaded RED INK)

I think the big worry/dealbreaker is the number of FoT in attendance. The $650 

entry is steep, but it will be worth it if we can get close to the 40 car limit 

and we get a nice variety of Triumphs in combination with the KCup. The fact 

that it may end up on Car Crazy and/or HDNet is a plus. The opposite is also 

true. A 15-20 car lineup will not be much encouragement to tow for 3 days.

Spoke to Kas.. He wants three nights (monday, tues and wed)no dinner talk unless 

he makes $.  Also,  a golf cart. This is his usual M.O.   He thinks the 650  may 

not  be a deal breaker as much as  the midweek event is likely to be.



I will put together a cover letter and circulate to us and cris. Once approved 

then we'll have Henry put it on fot site first week of feb.
