Current activity for the 2020 Kastner Cup at Mid-Ohio

PADDOCK SPOTS: I met with Alex Miller who is the race director for next years event. He is willing to give us the south east area of the upper paddock for our group. It is on blacktop. He will work with us on just how big of an area we get but it will need to be contained somewhat. He request that open trailers be parked out side of this area in the grass. When the time comes I will survey the group on just how many are coming and how big everybody's rigs are and Alex and I will work out how big of an area he is willing to commit to our group.  If it rains for days prior to the event like it did this year it would complicate things in the paved paddock as it was to wet to park in the grass.

TENT RENTAL: Tent rental has to be through Mid-Ohio. A 20 x 30 tent set up Thursday and removed on Sunday would cost $875. It cannot be staked and the weights cost an additional $10 each. Larger tents are available for more $$. I am thinking the ideal spot would be on the grass just outside of our paddock area. There is a fence between the paddock and the grass area but there is a sliding gate. The details of the location would need worked out if we decided to rent a tent. Tables and chairs would be additional $$.

FRIDAY DINNER: I looked into having a dinner for the group on Friday evening. This would have to be catered through Mid-Ohio. They have a lot of options for food. Burgers,  Brats, Chicken, side dish, deserts, that kind of stuff. I am going to estimate that it would run about $25 a head. It would be buffet style.

That's what I have so far. Something to think on and discuss.
