Yes, Alex, the rear spring mounting pin was drilled and cross-pinned with a
taper pin.

Dear Listers,

On replacing the front rear spring hangers on my P type (P898) I discovered
they were pinned with a parallel 3/16" pin exactly 1" from the end of the
cross tube. Was this a standard factory insertion as I can see no indication
of it on chassis drawings?
