[Mgs] 58 MGA with early 5 main MGB engine

You can check it against an external tach/dwell meter.

Some timing lights also have an integral tach.

Or, if you're really good at counting, count how  many times the timing 
mark goes past in 15 seconds and multiply by 4. :-)
