Yeah, Midgets are great if your knees don?t hit the dashboard. I?d say my thighs are about 2 inches longer than the host of the video based on driving a Mk. III Midget? it?s just not comfortable for more than a few minutes. I am happy with the MGB. But I have nothing against tiny cars ? they are a blast.

I seriously miss mine.  Mk II (sprite) with mk IV running gear.

I tried to buy it back from the friend I sold it to.  Another friend was 
selling her frogeye that her husband bought when he was in high school, 
it had been a project car in various garages for the past 40 years.

1958 MGA

I've never had this car on the road.  have dealt with numerous problems after buying the car in kit form.

now i am having trouble getting the right front brake line - the one that connects the two brake cylinders - from leaking.  the leakage appears to be coming from the where the line connects to the brake cylinder on each side.  i took the line to a professional shop to have the old line replaced.  they could not replace the connectors but replaced the metal line and reflared it.  i suspect the leak is due to bad screw in connectors.  is there a place where i can get just those connectors without having to pay all the extra costs for the usual vendors?

ACH5305  15.M.3  Bridge pipe for front wheel cylinder

(13") -(2 drum brakes)


You may be able to buy the individual pipe assemblies from a local auto parts store (most likely at NAPA). Expect them to be available in 6-inch increments of length, like 6", 12", 18", etc. If you need a 13" length, then buy a 18" length, cut it shorter, reinstaall the end fitting and re-flare the pipe. The parts store will have a flaring tool, may have a tool lending program, might even help you to cut and re-flare the pipe right in the store. Depending on quality of the flaring tool, you might expect to spoil a couple of parts before you get it right.

Now you have me keyed up to add the BMC part numbers to the page

part numbers.

I'm thinking i need to replace the wheel cylinder,  which,  btw, is relatively new

In both cases,  the old and new pipe/fitting, it is leaking between the pipe and the fitting.   Which leads me to believe that the inside of the brake cylinder,  where the double flare meets the cylinder,  was not correctly machined
