They come on when you operate the switch then after a short delay start flashing off-on-off-on.? This gives the earliest warning to other road users.? They also have a 'bulb failure' mode where if one has failed the remaining corner and the tell-tale come on and stay on so you can take appropriate action. If you fit a 4-way/hazard flasher unit it's then they only start flashing after a delay from operating the switch, and they will flash anything from one to four bulbs at the same rate. Triumph flashers are different again as far as the tell-tale goes.? With a single tell-tale they should be off normally of course, but if you fit an early MGB flasher it comes on with the ignition and only starts flashing off when the indicator switch is operated.? The MGB with two tell-tales has additional contacts in the indicator switch to prevent that. FWIW. PaulH. Spain Message-ID: <005a01dc37e3$bb159550$3140bff0$@mindspring.com> I recently found the 45DCOE and intake manifold I had on my 1966 MGB when I was racing it back in the early 2000's. Needless to say, it doesn't fit any of our cars now. So, it has to go. I'd like to give first shot to my old MG friends on this Forum. I used it for about a year. It was made in Spain. It is a Type 45DCOE 152, Number 242 02. Similar new on eBay at $564. It comes with short stacks and a bag full of jets (Main, Air & Accelerator Pump). The intake manifold is by Maniflow which now sells new for around $300 USD new. I'm open to reasonable offers. Buyer pays shipping. I'd like to sell as a package.
