Your blank messages' headers do not have this line in their headers:
> X-Converted-To-Plain-Text: Alternative section used was text/plain

but DO have this line:
> X-Converted-To-Plain-Text: from multipart/alternative by demime 0.99d.1

That leads me to believe that your mail client is sending ONLY the HTML
portion and no plain text.  Thus when DeMime strips the HTML, there is no
plain text to replace it.  If you check the settings on your mail client,
you may find something you can change to solve the problem.  Look for
something like "include plain text with message" or something along those
lines.
