[Mini] radical wheel arch modifications... have you?

OK so I am getting rid of the overhang of the outer wheel arch down from
the inner arch.

I am replacing the metal with a curved sheet lap welded along the
circumference of the arch and then to the outer wing to form a lip

This is going to take a lot of time to avoid distorting panels, I was going
to spot weld the curved panel to the outside surface of the inner arch stub

Then, using the shortened shockers for the rears and the offset upper
shocker mounts I can hit the deck

The brake lines, fuel lines and battery cable will be routed inside out of
harms way and the leading edges of the RC40 skidded for good measure (skid
plates)

Anyone done this mod and care to share experiences?

The front arches will be trimmed down (easy) then hopefully mini special
arches refitted
