[Nobbc] Front Plate petition

Got tagged for no front plate next to Fog City Diner off the Embarcadero
last spring. Penalty was $80.00 only if the infraction was not
corrected. Had Windsor police verify plate was installed on the Jag,
though I did wire it on (well enough to satisfy the officer). Sent in
the confirmation provided to S. F. court along with $15.00 and fine was
dropped.

Do we know for certain that it's a fixit ticket?   I remember reading
that in San Francisco they were fine the evil-doers $80 for the first
offense and doubling it on the second.
SF depends on the front plate for the photo ticketing scheme.
