[Nobbc] Fw: Get ready,

Mark: Looks like a great project that is relatively near
completion...but it's the last 10-20% that can be the most time
consuming and expensive, right? I would call it a TR2 due to the size
of the front grille. Brings back sweet memories as a 1963 TR3B was my
very first car in 1967. Paid $250 for it from a neighbor. Body was a
little rough...traded a little Fiat 850 to a friend to paint the car for
me and crashed it in a rain storm about 6 months later. Sure wish I had
it today...it is probably what fuels my desire for LBCs to this day. It
was a very fun car...knuckle draggers. I say go for it, and pour your
time, energy/love and money into it! Prices are all over the board for
TRs. I would think if you could pick it up for $2.5K or less you would
be doing well. I hope he has boxes of the un-installed parts for it to
minimize your orders from Victoria British and such. Good luck with it.
I hope to see it on the road sooner than later.

Frank M.

Hi Mark,

Looks like a nice car, depending on running condition and condition of
under
carriage, easily worth $10000 in today's market. You still see basket
cases
for sale for $5000 and up, so it's really a matter of how much you want
the
car, and are willing to pay. The dent in the fender is readily
repairable by
any good body shop, looks like fresh paint, see if the owner has paint
left
so the repair matches, or see where it was painted and take it there. If
you
don't mind, what is the asking price?

Michael
