Steve Lehmann and I met by chance in the summer of 2001 and decided
there was a need to organize a British car club here. August 4th is the
10th Anniversary of our first public meeting in the parking lot of the
old Safeway on 4th and College. We had about a dozen people show up and
have grown steadily since then. Many of the charter members are still
active and have helped shape the direction and philosophy of our club
namely: we are a driving club and any British Marque is welcome, we
charge no mandatory dues and we don't have (or need) rules and
regulations. We decided to do this right from the beginning and have
been sucessful.

To celebrate, we have a club picnic at Fisk Mill Cove (Salt Point SP).
We usually meet at the Warm Springs Dam fish hatchery and drive out
Skagg Springs Road (the very definition of a British car road) to the
coast. Alternatively, we have on occasion gone out King Ridge Road
(another scenic paved over goat path).

Before we set our plans for the anniversary ride next Saturday, I would
like to get an idea of which route you would prefer. So let me know in
the next day or so and I'll send out ride info later in the week.
