Fellow brit enthusiasts,
Anybody have a pair of used stem mounted driving lamps available for purchase. I've decided to up the luminescence of my MGA. Any condition is acceptable.
A quick trivia question: The name "Booker T and the MGs" for the group that Booker Jones and Steve Cropper formed, came from Chips Moman, when he worked as Stax Record's main sound engineer and where the group first worked as the house band and later did their recordings in 1962 with "Green Onions" on the b side of their first 45. Moman named the band in 1962 after his "little red MG". The question is; he had two MGs -the first was a TD, but what was the second one that the band was named for? Naturally since it was in 1962 I'm hoping it was an A. Can't find the info anywhere.
One more note: He also owned a new 1961 TR3 and named another group after that car, the "Triumphs" the band that featured a young Al Green.
Thanks for any help with either question.
Mike
