[Oletrucks] 1955 - 1st Series Chev P U Stock Rear Suspension

Need to draw on all that pick up truck knowledge out there.    Getting last minute items completed prior to paint. Concern is rough – bumping ride of empty P U with new stock rear leaf springs / shocks. Thinking of some kind of coil spring adaption for a more CAR like ride – possible reducing leaf spring stack to 2 ~ 3 for alignment adding some type of coils for ride support ( very doubtful any weight will be in the P U bed – vintage plates – use as a car )

Any suggestions / past experiences appreciated,
