Is it for your house, RV, ???

You checked that none of the on/off switches got turned off  
accidentally or that no safetly mechanisms were tripped? Spark plug  
wire or other wire didn't vibrate or get cut by an annoyed person?  
Try basic small engine troubleshooting first, then move on to  
generator-specific troubleshooting, for which you'll likely need the  
exact model number.
