Wow - thanks for the link to Foxit.  What a revelation - it's NOT torture 
every time I need to open a pdf - many times a day.  This actually works !!

I've always believed that Adobe's poor performance on PC's was just their 
little ploy to push the Mac by "proving" that PC's were no good.

Foxit is great so far.  Thanks again !
