[Shop-talk] Floor Jacks; Oh-boy

I bought a used "oh boy" from a gas station / mechanic that was retiring in
1973; who knows how old it was; always a good jack.
replaced the rubbers around 1978; used it until 1995 or so...leaking again;
gave it to a friend as project/ first jack.

I bought a HF 2-ton job (# not handy); has worked fine since then. Only
gets used one project a month or so, however.

<<Mark: I've had a Hein-Werner for about 20 years and love it. No
problems for 19 B= years and I have been hard on it. About 8 months ago
it started to leak--but not a bad leak. I loved the jack so much I
decided to have it completely rebuilt for almost $300 by a jack
specialist firm in Baltimore, Maryland. I hope it's good for another 20
years. I understand the parent company for H-W is Lincoln.>>
