[Shop-talk] Junk catalytic converter: what to do?

Hello,

What's is the best way to get rid of a junk (10 year
old, 130k miles, rusted out flange) catalytic
converter that I have?  Is there a cost-effective way
to get money for it?  Or should I just "donate" it to
the local muffler shop?
