[Shop-talk] 2 by's for truck ramp

I'm not a wood engineer, but I have one on speed dial. Wood strength 
depends on tree variety harvested, growing conditions and moisture 
content. Most engineered wood structures have heavy factors of safety 
because of the wide variability.
