OTOH, what is needed here is repeatability, and it should be better than
that. I'm still using a mechanical for home heating, and the combination of
the mechanical thermostat & mechanical thermometer seems to be repeatable
within 1 degree F (with the load sensing disabled).
There's a lot more temperature variation than that between where the
thermostat is mounted, and the pipes/containers are.
