I probably shouldn't let this topic drag on, but I can't resist.

A number of years ago I was back in Indiana at my dad's house.
The plan for the weekend was to hook up the shiny new gas
stove to replace the decrepit old electric unit.  No real problem,
a fairly simple extension of an existing gas line.

The most difficult part of the process was convincing my stepmother
that we would not blow up the house.

Sheesh.
