[Shop-talk] vacuum cleaners (non-shop)

Anybody have a favorite upright domestic vacuum cleaner?  

My wife's Hoover has just tossed its brush belt, and she does not like it enough for me to fix it.

She likes them light, but with an accessory hose for simple attachments.  

I don't want to spend a fortune, but if there was a compelling reason, I would.
