Tim asks about updating after a while.

I find that it is normally not an issue.  It may take MANY (read as ten or 
more)  "Update Windows" to get all the updates.

Windows does a good job of make sure the app will 'run' on the machine. 
How fast, is the only question.

With that said, with a computer that beat, I would make a restore point 
first, then run them all, making a restore point after each one.

I bet they will all run and everything will be fine.
