[Shop-talk] question on LP tanks

If that were the case, Home Depots would be burning down regularly.

Nothing is supposed to come out unless a hose is connected, even if the
valve is opened.

BTW, a propane tank has the empty weight stamped on the top, so if you
weigh it, you can know exactly how much propane it contains.
