[Shop-talk] annoying calls

Many home phone systems have the option to save the phone number to
'call block' or similar.  If you notice the same number calling, it may
be an option for you.

Calls to our home are so bad that we don't answer anything not in our
phone book or with a caller ID we recognize.  Once upon a time back when
I answered the phone, I'd see how long I could keep the person on the
phone.  That was really fun for the telemarketers 'doing work in my
area'.  I'd ask if they were the ones doing the big house on Main Street
to quickly ID how fraudulent they were as there is no Main St anywhere
near me.  I thought about inviting them to give me as estimate at the
local Sheriff department address, but never did.
