[Shop-talk] annoying calls

I’d be real happy if I was only receiving these calls a few times per week, I get a minimum of 4 per day. 
For my cell phone my solution is to assign everyone in my contact list a ring tone, Family get a special one. Then set the default ring tone to the quietest ring tone on your phone ( on my iPhone that was Chines). When the phone ring I know if it some one I know or family or someone I haven’t had business with in the past.  The default , chimes, tone is so quiet I usually  don’t hear it if the phone is in my pocket.
Before doing that I called my congressman, who I don’t like and ask he change the law to stop robo calls. I then told the staff that to demonstrate how bad the problem was I would call and let them know each time I receive one. Got to be on first name bases with the women who answered the phone.

>> for some time I’ve been getting calls on cells phones and home phone offering me “lower credit card rates” and have a limited time to reply... when I press “1” to speak to an associate, I get a foreign being speaking almost english and when I tell him to stop calling they hang up..these calls are two to three times a week and sometimes twice a day.  Today I called their 800 number and got bank of america.  After three failed attempts and a call back I finally spoke to a person and she told me it was a scam and they mask their number and it shows BoAs 800 number.  She said there was nothing they could do... but put me on BoAs do not call list but offered no incouragement that that would stop the calls
