[Shop-talk] everybody OK with Covid-19?

I get where you are coming form, the media blasts everything out of
proportion, no doubt about that.  But I don't know jack about epidemiology,
so I have to take advice from someone who does.  That ain't the cheeto in
chief.  I am getting my advice from WHO and CDC.  Those boffins say take
this seriously, so I am.  For me that means monitoring the number of cases
reported near me and avoiding any unnecessary risk.  I got vaccinated
against the flu, so did a bunch of other people in the US.  We know that
even a nasty strain of flu won't run rampant through the nation.  Only like
one person in the world has been vaccinated against this stuff, and with no
idea if it is going to work or not.  The flu generally gets rolling in
October or November and dies down by May, so you have a limited exposure
window.  It is not yet know if this virus will follow the same pattern.
But early looks form the southern hemisphere, where it is now summer, seem
to indicate this isn't going to slow down on it's own.
