[Shop-talk] everybody OK with Covid-19?

Howdy,

Given the apparent near total lack of testing, I'm not putting much faith
in 'reported case' #'s.  And, like others have said, I think when the CDC,
WHO, and the politicians are all saying "this is serious, stop fucking
around" then I'm going to take it seriously and stop fucking around.

We've been avoiding contact with the outside world since Thursday.  Prior
to that we were doing the washing of hands / sanitizer things for a few
days.  Right now I think we have enough food to not have to leave the house
for another week anyway, perhaps longer, and I have no plans to do that.
Complicating that a little bit is that Ohio has an election tomorrow...
maybe. The Governor tried to delay it today at 4pm, was shot down in court
at 7pm after many news outlets reported it as a done deal, and apparently
is going to appeal.  I do know that I won't be going to the polls and will
be doing everything I can to prevent my wife from going.  There's nothing
on the ballot as pressing as keeping us alive and a 1% or 5% or 1/2% chance
of death is more risk than I want to take even if I totally discount all of
the other aspects of trying to slow the spread of the virus.
