[Shop-talk] sound bars, older flat screens, not that big of an audiophile and OT

If your soundbar has speaker-wire type inputs, you probably can't feed it
directly from the TV.  It will need some sort of amplifier to bring the
line level output from the TV (RCA jacks) up to speaker level.  You could
get a new receiver, they go pretty cheap on WOOT and monoprice.  Or you
could get a new soundbar with a line level input ( I have seen some good
deals at Sams club on these).
