Now that they've taken rubber-safe chlorinated brake cleaner off the 
market, you have to buy Lectra-Clean

I have a hard time understanding why one would want to use silicone.

There's DOT 4, DOT 5.1 (which is not silicone) and now DOT 4+ which 
combines the temperature ratings of DOT 5.1 with the viscosity of DOT 4.
