[Shop-talk] Question about 1/2" belt sander belts

I've been very happy with 120 grit on 6061. Be gentle, but it's a nice way for me to clean up welds and still end up with a work piece that doesn't need more work to be presentable...

Coarse ones take off a lot of metal. Fine ones load up and don't do
much. I'm sure there's a middle ground somewhere.
