[Shop-talk] Blue tooth guru or hearing aid experts

The first thing I (have learned to) do when tech won't cooperate is upgrade the firmware/software.

Most Bluetooth pairings require a code to be entered on the hub (TV) from the satellite (hearing aids). Did the manual come with any mention of a code? The logical way would be to enter their code on the TV. This is so someone else can't pair your hearing aids to their device (accidentally or maliciously).

Also the Bluetooth device you're trying to connect to the TV needs to be in pairing mode so it listens for something to pair to when you push "pair" on the TV. It's not always on - usually it's on for a short time, maybe a minute, then it gives up if it doesn't find anything. If you miss th ewindow you need to push "pair" again.

Maybe you've done all this already but that's my BT knowledge. If that doesn't work try asking Google using the model numbers of both. I was VERY surprised yesterday when my new Lenovo laptop plugged into the Dell docking station could see the monitors but not the keyboard and mouse. I Googled with the model numbers and someone had the answer (BIOS security setting for the Thunderbolt communication protocol what the ever livin...).

I checked the specs and both accept the same blue tooth ‘protocol’ (I don’t know the right word) all the letters confuse me. But, they both use A2DP… but they won’t pair.
