[Shop-talk] sanding belt adhesive

Have you tried applying heat? I thought that adhesive was heat set. If that works, I doubt it will be as good as new belts. 

I’ve been using belts made by Klingspor for decades. They make mainly industrial abrasives but do make custom sized belts & disks too. Check them out @ www.woodworkingshop.com. They make abrasives for solid surface, wood & metal.

it uses a 3/8" x 13" belt.. I've got several boxes I bought years ago at a good price
Problem is the adhesive strips that hold the belt together have lost their sticky
 
Anyone got a vendor that sells the little adhesive strips for the belts..?????
 
I've also got 4" x 20" with the same problem  so bigger adhesive strips can be
cut down
